Preseason

The preseason games kick off with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 8 PM Eastern on NBC. The Cowboys and the Bengals will battle it out at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

Some of the games of note in the preseason will be the Giants and Jets battling, New York style for the first game at the Meadowlands Stadium. You can see this game on ESPN. The Bills host the Colts in Toronto on 8/9/2010 at 7:30 PM Eastern. The exact dates and times for the preseason and regular season were announced back in April.

Regular season

The first NFL, regular season game will kick off on 9/9/2010, starting at 8:35 PM Eastern, with the 2009 Super Bowl champs New Orleans Saints (go Saints!) hosting the Minnesota Vikings. I think this will be a repeat of the 2009 NFC Championship Game and the right team will win again.

The Giants and Jets will each play again at home that first week at the new Meadowlands Stadium. The Giants will play on Sunday with a 1 PM EDT kickoff against the Panthers and the Jets will play against the Ravens for the first Monday Night Football game. For the late night game, the Chargers will travel to play their division enemy the Chiefs, marking the first time that a team from outside the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones has played in, or hosted, the “late” (10:15 p.m. ET) game. The game will start at 9:15 p.m. Kansas City time (Central).

Man, I cannot wait to see helmets clashing and turf flying! Happy fantasy footballing.

Hi,
This is the new owner of thefantasyfootballtimes.com. I have given the site a new look and made it into a news blog. We will still have the news feed and the same great, free content that we’ve had for more than 6 years. Gearing up for the 2010 season, I will be posting some updated news, reviews, and picks from my extensive research.

I love fantasy football and I know you do too and I cannot wait to read your comments. I would like to get any feedback and thoughts on the new design and any suggestions for content and things to add to the site as we are always looking to deliver the best news, reviews, draft kits, picks and resources for avid fantasy football’ers. Good luck on draft day and we’ll see you in the comments!
