South Korean international Son Heung-Min has closed the gap on fantasy football leader Bruno Fernandes in the Premier League following his performance against Sheffield United at the weekend.

Son scored one goal and also provided an assist for Gareth Bale as Tottenham Hotspur ran out 4-0 winners against bottom team Sheffield United to stay in touch with the other teams in the race for Champions League football in the new season.

MARTINEZ, KING OF PREMIER LEAGUE GOALKEEPERS

Aston Villa shot stopper Emiliano Martinez is the king of goalkeepers in the English top flight as far as fantasy football is concerned. The Argentine international goalkeeper has more fantasy football points than any other goalkeeper. Emiliano Martinez has been one of the best shot stoppers in the Premier League and that showed with his points on the fantasy football league. Aston Villa have played two games less than a lot of the other teams in the Premier League. Aston Villa still have outstanding games against Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. The form of Emiliano Martinez in his debut season at Aston Villa has propelled the club to the top half of the Premier League standings. This is a remarkable improvement from last season when Villa were involved in a relegation battle for the whole duration of the campaign. Aston Villa were able to survive relegation on the final day of last season. Villa manager Dean Smith moved to strengthen his team with some players with Premier League experience like Emiliano Martinez and some hungry Championship players and he has been able to reap the rewards with the results achieved this season.

BEDNAREK SETS HORRIBLE RECORD ON FPL AFTER OLD TRAFFORD HORROR

Condolences have been pouring to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player who chose to captain Southampton player Jan Bednarek after the defender ended the player’s game week with – 21 points. Bednarek suffered a disastrous outing at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening in what was a dismal game for the Polish defender

He traveled with the Southampton squad to Manchester and came against a Manchester United side who were in their ultimate best as they thumped the Saints 9-0 in what was a record-equaling win/loss in the history of the Premier League. SON IS FANTASY FOOTBALL KING

Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-Min Son is the king of fantasy football in the Premier League after the South Korean international won the most points at the end of the last round of Premier League games. Heung-Min Son has won the most points in fantasy football till date in the English top flight. The ex-Bayer Leverkusen attacker is the king of fantasy football in the Premier League after matchweek 17.


Son has 12 goals and five assists for Spurs in the league this season to amass a total of 132 fantasy football points and he’s ahead of Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes and his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Harry Kane. Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes is a key player for Manchester United and he has scored 11 goals plus eight assists in the league to record a total of 130 points, while Spurs striker Harry Kane has the third most points in Premier League fantasy football alongside Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah.

SON, KING OF FANTASY FOOTBALL

 

Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-Min is the king of fantasy football in the Premier League this season after the first eleven weeks. His lethal form in front of goal has led Spurs to the top of the table ahead of holders Liverpool on goal difference. South Korean national team captain Son has been involved in 13 goals over the course of this campaign. He has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 11 league games since the start of the season. Son Heung-Min is the second leading goalscorer in the Premier League this season behind Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has 11 goals.


Son Heung-Min has 100 points in Premier League fantasy football this season to take his position as the king of fantasy football in England. Spurs teammate Harry Kane is the nearest challenger to that position with 98 points. (more…)

A number of potential names are quite interesting for gameweek six of the fantasy Premier league. The key players who are expected to make a difference going forward are:

Emiliano Martinez – £4.8 million


The former Arsenal goalkeeper has only faced few matches, but he has already picked up a lot of points in the game. There have been three clean sheets and plenty of saves in recent matches to consider picking the 28-year-old. His Aston Villa team are up against Leeds United this weekend.

Sebastian Rudy expecting a call from Germany for Euro 2021

 

German footballer Sebastian Rudy said that he is expecting a call up for the Euro 2021 squad. He in an interview with Sport Bild has said that during the period of lockdown German national football team coach Joachim Low has called to check upon him. He enquired with him how he was doing and the player was glad of the call. He is hoping that he will have a chance to join the team to Euro 2021.


He is optimistic about the call and believes that he has performed wellin the games and has done things right in the past matches. He has been contacted by the team by two times in a row and he is hopeful that his chance at an international career has not ended yet. He has also openly said about his interest inbeing on the team for Euro Cup.

Norwich give plenty of options in fantasy football after relegation

 

Norwich have been relegated from the Premier League and it provides some juicy options into the last few games makes the fantasy football section. The Canaries are likely to go down without a fight in the last few games and they are up against Chelsea in the next match. Despite the loss to Sheffield United, Frank Lampard’s team are expected to make a comeback since they have been doing extremely well of late. The loss at Bramall Lane came as a major shock and the blues are likely to recover from this defeat. Christian Pulisic and Willian have been playing exceptionally well, but both had a subdued afternoon against the blades.


Pulisic and Willian are available at £7.3 million and they will be key players for the blues in this match. Norwich then take on Burnley in the gameweek 37 and this will provide an opportunity to back a tough Burnley defence. Norwich have been able to score a goal since the football restarted. The game against West Ham saw very few opportunities for Teemu Pukki, who is available at £6.4 million, who has always done extremely well in the Championship. Meanwhile, Onel Hernandez is available at £ 5.3 million and he came close with an effort just before the 60th minute.

Fantasy Premier League trying to restart in the upcoming weeks

Fantasy Premier League has confirmed that there is a possibility of additional game weeks being included into the game if top-flight football resumes as expected in the middle of June. This announcement came as a brief statement from the organisers, but there are no concrete plans about a restart just yet. It is not known if there will be any changes to the existing structure. In a statement, the Fantasy Premier League said:“We can confirm that any chips you retain at present (e.g. Triple Captain, Bench Boost, Free Hit and/or Wildcard) would remain available for you, in accordance with the Game Rules.”

It is not known whether this paragraph should be interpreted as a sign that the FPL wants to extend the game week as per the usual schedule only when the Premier league restarts not. The inconclusive stance means that the possibility of the game finishing is very unlikely. If anyone is thinking about a blind bench most of this weekend, this may not be the correct time with the possibility of no continuation.
