go with the most obvious picks early, trying to pick home teams that are favored over inferior teams. Most of the pool will be eliminated early on trying to save the obvious winners (Indy, NE, etc) for later rounds and they pick risky games early and lose. Stay in it as long as you can by picking the obvious ones and you’ll be surprised. By the time you get close to elimination and you have to pick more evenly matched games, you’ll have a better feel for those teams.

Remember kickers go quick! Always take them 1st round!
Quarterbacks can wait, defence are a dime a dozen just take what’s ever left.

Remember the Cowboys game, kickers make or brake your game!

Take the strongest team versus the weakest team. If you do not survive this week it is irrelevant who’s playing next week.
