Eintract Full of Surprises

Eintracht Frankfurt has pulled off quite a few upsets in their current Europa League campaign. Teams like Internazionale, Benfica etc. were all considered to be stronger in comparison and still they managed to get past them all. It has a lot to do with the tactical astuteness of their head coach, Adi Hutter.

Now Frankfurt is up against Chelsea in the Round of 4, another opponent which if compared man to man on paper will turn out to be far stronger. But the Frankfurt supporters, given what they have seen from the Eagles so far, they would be expecting them to topple Chelsea as well. (more…)

HAZARD COULD BE ON HIS WAY OUT

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard could be on his way out of the club, with Spanish side Real Madrid keeping a very close eye on developments. The Belgian skipper is the most likely addition to the struggling La Liga club – though a winter move does not seem as feasible, a summer move seems ideal for the player and his intended side.

There are claims in Spain that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to allow rising star Marco Asensio be the trade-off in the move to land Hazard, though caretaker coach Santiago Solari is said to be very keen on Asensio so any transfer would be met with strong resistance, making a winter window move is more unlikely. Fantasy Football Tips for Week 11

The Premier League is back on an intense run just after the international break and a couple of changes in the fantasy squad can help improve the score. Some of the top tips for the fantasy football teams are:

Antonio Rudiger
The Chelsea defender has been an ever present for Maurizio Sarri’s men. He has also been quite consistent after forming a good partnership with David Luiz. Chelsea’s defence still leads to improve a lot, but Sarri tends to go for a stable back line all the time. This coupled with Chelsea competing at the top makes Rudiger a good selection.

Goalkeeper – Alisson Becker (Liverpool)

The Brazil international has enjoyed an impressive start to his debut season with the Reds and has already managed five clean sheets from just eight matches including one during the goalless draw against Manchester City last weekend. WILL MODRIC TAKE FIFA CROWN?

The finalists for the Best FIFA Men’s Player award for the year are Luka Modric, Crisitiano Ronaldo and Mohammed Salah. With the Croatia international recently winning the UEFA Player of the Year award, he is likely to lift the award on the world stage. The 2018 World Cup Player of the Tournament is set to be the first player to break the duopoly for a decade, giving room for a fresh face in many years.

Lionel Messi, five time Ballon d’Or winner, missed out of a podium finish in over a decade. It feels strange that the Argentine did not make the cut despite his achievements last term. He was the highest goalscorer in the La Liga; he skippered Barcelona to wrestle the league title from Real Madrid and added a local double. On the world stage, he helped Argentina to the World Cup finals even though he could not inspire them to go far at the tournament proper. (more…)

Ramos is a regular threat in set pieces, and has used that to help out the team several times. The player who just returned from calf injury rose the highest to connect with Toni Kroos’ corner to score the landmark goal against Levante. (more…)

GUARDIOLA RUINED FANTASY FOOTBALL LAST WEEK

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola ruined fantasy football for many last week when he left out English star Raheem Sterling and Brazilian sensation Gabriel Jesus from the starting eleven. Many fantasy football players expected the forward pair to start the game, going by recent happenings. The game was against Burnley but City needed to continue with the wins and relatively high number of goals per game.

Jesus eventually made a cameo as he came on for 14 minutes as the Cityzens thrashed their opponents 3-0. One key thing in fantasy football is that only players sure to start are selected.
