Fantasy Football Picks for Week 13

Premier League football returns to action after the international break and the focus is fully on the domestic action after the group stages for the new Nations League came to an end. As a result of some good action just before the break, there has been a shift in the prices of some star players. Here are the best buys for the upcoming few weeks:

Jordan Pickford (£ 4.9 million) – The Everton goalkeeper has been in terrific form of late and he was a huge factor behind the blues keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

HAZARD COULD BE ON HIS WAY OUT

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard could be on his way out of the club, with Spanish side Real Madrid keeping a very close eye on developments. The Belgian skipper is the most likely addition to the struggling La Liga club – though a winter move does not seem as feasible, a summer move seems ideal for the player and his intended side.

There are claims in Spain that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to allow rising star Marco Asensio be the trade-off in the move to land Hazard, though caretaker coach Santiago Solari is said to be very keen on Asensio so any transfer would be met with strong resistance, making a winter window move is more unlikely. Fantasy Football Tips for Week 11

The Premier League is back on an intense run just after the international break and a couple of changes in the fantasy squad can help improve the score. Some of the top tips for the fantasy football teams are:

Antonio Rudiger
The Chelsea defender has been an ever present for Maurizio Sarri’s men. He has also been quite consistent after forming a good partnership with David Luiz. Chelsea’s defence still leads to improve a lot, but Sarri tends to go for a stable back line all the time. This coupled with Chelsea competing at the top makes Rudiger a good selection.

Premier League fantasy picks for month of October

With the Premier League complete its eighth gameweek, a number of players have excelled with their performances on the playing field and among those, we look into four of them who could provide handy fantasy points in the forthcoming fixtures following the international break.

Goalkeeper – Alisson Becker (Liverpool)

The Brazil international has enjoyed an impressive start to his debut season with the Reds and has already managed five clean sheets from just eight matches including one during the goalless draw against Manchester City last weekend. Following the international break, the Reds have games versus Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City, who are both lying in the drop zone and as such, the shot-stopper can be fancied to keep successive shutouts.

Have United finally clicked into gear?

All those fantasy football players who added the likes of Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku before the season started must be feeling pretty upset with themselves, having seen the Reds make hard work of Leicester before losing to Brighton and then failing to even get a gaol against Tottenham, and conceding 3 goals in both matches in the process!

They showed a slight improvement against Burnley, with a fairly stodgy 2-0 win, but finally started showing some kind of semblance of attack in theri most recent game against Watford. Maybe, just maybe, they have the attacking intent and ability to once again start putting teams to the sword in the way that both Manchester CIty and Liverpool invariably do. (more…)

Maurizio Sarri hints at possible exit for Belgium’s World Cup star

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has suggested that he won’t keep Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge against his wish. The Belgium international has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid following his strong showing at the World Cup but so far, the Blues have not made a decision over his probable sale.

Speaking to reporters, Sarri said that he would like to hold a meeting with Courtois, who is scheduled to return for first-team training on Monday. The Italian that he wants to work with players, who only have ‘very high levels of motivation’ thereby suggesting that Courtois could be shown the exit door, he said: “I want to hear Courtois. If Courtois tomorrow says to me the same [as the agent], then I have to speak with my player, of course. Because I only want players with very high levels of motivation.”

WILL MODRIC TAKE FIFA CROWN?

The finalists for the Best FIFA Men’s Player award for the year are Luka Modric, Crisitiano Ronaldo and Mohammed Salah. With the Croatia international recently winning the UEFA Player of the Year award, he is likely to lift the award on the world stage. The 2018 World Cup Player of the Tournament is set to be the first player to break the duopoly for a decade, giving room for a fresh face in many years.

Lionel Messi, five time Ballon d’Or winner, missed out of a podium finish in over a decade. It feels strange that the Argentine did not make the cut despite his achievements last term. He was the highest goalscorer in the La Liga; he skippered Barcelona to wrestle the league title from Real Madrid and added a local double. On the world stage, he helped Argentina to the World Cup finals even though he could not inspire them to go far at the tournament proper. (more…)
