What would be a better strategy for 12/13th pick in a 12 man fantasy football draft?

I was thinking either grabbing two good running backs, like Darren Mcfadden/Michael Turner/Frank Gore kinda guys, or 2 top receivers like Roddy White/Calvin Johnson/Greg Jennings. I know I could grab one of each, But I would rather do one of these two strategies. Any help?

In a 12 man league there will still be 2 top running backs available. However, you just need to go with the best available player. if Rogers QB GB is still available go with him. Or if 10 RB’S have gone go with a WR. It all depends on what is left.

I like splitting them. Seems to work better for me.

I have won leagues before starting with Andre Johnson/Moss (a couple years ago), but that was because 10 of the first 11 picks were RB, so I didn’t like who was there.

It workable to find one serviceable RB later, not as easy to find 2, which is why I like to split.

I suppose if I HAD to pick from your scenarios, I’d take White and Johnson. But that’s just based on who is available. If Mendenhall slipped, I’d scoop him up in a heartbeat.
